Lyte AI Inc. has raised $165 million in Series C funding to scale production of its perception platform, LyteVision, which enables robots to sense their surroundings. The round values the physical AI company at $1.6 billion post-money and will accelerate deployment across inspection, logistics, and manufacturing industries.
Founded in 2021 and based in Sunnyvale, Calif., Lyte designs processors, multimodal sensors, and software to help robots understand where they are and what is moving around them. The company says it owns its entire stack from the transistor up, addressing what it calls a fundamental challenge in physical AI.
“Physical AI has a sensing problem before it has a model problem. A robot cannot act safely on data that does not faithfully describe the world,” said Alexander Shpunt, co-founder and CEO of Lyte. “We build the entire perception foundation, from custom silicon to the spatial data our systems produce. This financing will put LyteVision into more robots, across more environments, faster.”
Lyte has entered production and is shipping to leading robotics customers across inspection, logistics, and manufacturing. LyteVision was named CES 2026 Best of Innovation in Robotics. The company plans to use the funding to scale production.
Maverick Silicon led the round, with participation from Fidelity Management & Research Company (which led the Series B), Atreides Management, Key1 Capital, Ora Global (formerly Exor Ventures), and other investors. Andrew Homan, managing partner at Maverick Silicon, has joined Lyte’s board of directors. He noted that the breadth and diversity of early customer demand strengthens conviction that Lyte is poised to become one of the defining technology companies of the robotics era.
