Humanoid
Agility Robotics Inc. has agreed to merge with special purpose acquisition company Churchill Capital Corp. XI, claiming it will become the only U.S. publicly listed pure-play humanoid company with proven, active commercial deployments. The company, which developed bipedal research platform Cassie and humanoid robot Digit, expects the transaction to provide more than $620 million in gross proceeds for a valuation of $2.5 billion in pre-money equity.
Agility’s Digit humanoid robot is already at work at several commercial customers. CEO Peggy Johnson stated that humanoid robots are a critical driver of American technology leadership and the future of global industry, noting that Agility is at the forefront with commercially deployed humanoids operating in real customer environments today. She emphasized the technology’s role in bridging labor shortages, increasing productivity, and strengthening supply chain resilience.
